Join the revolution and read indie books! That’s what I’ll be doing this summer, and of course tackling all my owned books, but let’s not get into that fiasco. I’m a pretty slow reader, but I’ve managed to read some of these author’s books in a day or two, so cross your fingers and say a little prayer for me. I’ll also be reviewing these babies, and I have ARCs for a few of them, so I’ll be able to tell you my thoughts before the book even comes out when possible.
As an author, I do not want to tarnish the works of others, so my reviews are going to highlight the things I loved about the books. I’m not against dnfing a book, so if one of these suck, you’re not gonna see a review for it, because I’m not going to read long enough to have something beneficial to say. Plain and simple.
I’m also not going to give star rating on here. If I’m recommending it, I believe it’ll be a 5 star for the target reader and that’s what you’ll see on my Goodreads page.
And now, my summer reading list . . .

For the first eleven years of their lives, neighbors Lila and Gavin were inseparable best friends. They did everything together. Until they didn’t.
Gaven doesn’t know why Lila pushed him away all those years ago, but when Gavin finds her summer bucket list, he’s determined to help his goody-two-shoes neighbor cross off every item and hopefully mend their friendship in the process. Even if that’s not all he wants from her.
He just hopes it’s not too late.
A plague. A prophecy. A centuries-long curse.
Discovering the king’s plan to set a war in motion with a mass assassination, Ada unwittingly joins a crew of pirates in search of the only beings powerful enough to stop him: the Nihryst. Meanwhile, Shane and a group of underground rebels make a haunting discovery of a plague infecting the streets of Detmarya.
With a looming deadline to save multiple kingdoms and thousands of innocent lives, both royal siblings join quests worthy of Ada’s beloved fairy tales.
They call me the dagger.
It’s all I’ve ever known.
All that I can remember.
Henri Hatter’s a rebel leader loved by everyone. A man who sings in the streets because people ask for aether’s sake. A faerie who knows more about my past than anyone—including me.
A good man who could crush my heart if I let him in. Which I can’t do.
Not if I want vengeance against the queen who ruined my life. Despite my claims that I work alone, Hatter and two nosey little pixies insist on sticking with me.
Only one thing is for sure, with them by my side assassinating the Red Queen will be unlike any other job I’ve ever tackled.
Perfection…The single word that best describes the Legends of Fae.
Legends say trouble comes in threes, and that holds true for me when I learn I’m supposedly one of the Fae after punching their prince. It must be a practical joke designed by Prince Xavier to ruffle my feathers, but the joke’s on him. I’m determined to face whatever challenges he decides to toss my way.
I’ll prove myself worthy of walking the halls of Fae Rose Academy. I’ll tackle their world, and in the process, just maybe find something extraordinary.
It seems my destiny is to break out of one prison, only to jump right into another. Then again, who would have thought Dubai would have a luxurious jail for supernaturals?
I won’t be alone this time, though. My four lovers are at my side, because they know that the best way to keep me safe is to work right alongside me as I unleash my diabolical plans. Besides, what better way is there to bond than by sharing a massive jail cell with a four-poster bed, pixie room service, and free time to do whatever the hell we want?
This seems like a prison I could get used to, but duty calls. The answers we need lie in the depths of the hidden city of paradise, and this time, we may struggle to find our way out.
I, Callie McCoy, am not in love with my brother’s best friend.
Before I realize what’s happening, I have one of the most popular girls in school claiming she wants to be my friend… and Jamie… well, he’s getting a lot less annoying.
My brother can’t find out Jamie is replacing bickering with sweet kisses.
But, who am I kidding? Jamie has never been serious about anything. It’ll be over before either of us can blink.
I, Jamie Daniels, have been in love with my best friend’s sister for more years than I’ll admit.
I’ll do anything to be with her, even if it means keeping our relationship a secret. Even if it means holding her together when our entire world falls apart.
Because that’s the thing about high school. Eventually, the illusion of protection shatters and all we have left is each other.
