The advanced AI system was supposed to protect a fleet of survivors who’d escaped the deadly attack on Kerenza IV. AIDAN was supposed to be infallible. But in the chaotic weeks and months that followed, it became clear that something was terribly, terribly wrong with AIDAN…
Read it in all of 2 sessions because it was so easy to get into. The first book felt complete and was satisfying, but the hints at wants to come for book 2 show that book 1 only touched the surface. The concept of assassin debt collectors is eerily plausibly. But I wonder what the bank gets off of killing people other than scaring people with very low debt to pay up and people to not getting credit cards in the future.
This had an interesting premise, but overall it just didn't make sense. It read like an elaborate Starbucks commercial rather than a fairy tale retelling.
This sucker kept me going the whole way through. Like the first few chapters were breakneck pace and I could not breath. Excellent pacing throughout. The slower parts focused on the romance, and I could not get enough. Oh my gosh. They give me life. I can't wait for the next book. I need to see the romance develop.
I never thought I'd be a fan of alien romance, but Aria has made a fan out of me. This is an alien/human romance where the human is a slave to an affluent alien family of another species. When all the noble aliens are invited to a royal ball where the prince will choose his mate, she's dragged along with her owner.
